Here’s some additional technical background information to the product :
- The surface is completely organic .
- The main ingredient is Linseed oil , a liquid resin and gum, creating a silicone resin which is naturally anti-bacterial.
- Pine tree resin
- Wood flour ( sawdust ) – from sawmills, part of the circular economy
- Limestone which reinforces the compound.
- Pigments made from natural earth composites ( there are 6 colours in total )
- Jute – the matting substrate
As for the substrate used on Linoil products I offer either chipboard or MDF, both of which are FSC/PEFC + carb2 certified, so as for the eco sustainability the panels respond to the chain of custody of the wood used and to the low emission of formaldehyde.

In the case of chipboard specifically, the panel does not containing recycled materials but virgin wood, for which the trees are removed from the forests in order to allow the small trees to grow. This is a particular agreement between the supplier and the government of the region to which the company belongs. Those old big trees must be removed so as to not be dangerous for the young and healthy ones.
The chipboard panel because it contains mainly pine and larch, the wood has a high concentration of resin,therefore is naturally water resistant without the use of chemical urea.
